Nigerian sprinter, Tobi Amusan, on Wednesday clinched gold in the 100m hurdles at the ongoing African Games in Ghana.
Amusan finished the race in a time of 12.89 seconds.
The track queen now has a hat-trick of 100m hurdles African Games titles after winning the event at the last two editions in Congo Brazzaville 2015 and Rabat 2019.
Madagascar’s Sidonie Fiadanantsoa came second with a time of 13.19s, while Uganda ‘s Ashley Kamangarira was third with a time of 13.59s.
Another Nigerian Faith Osumuyi finished in fourth position in the race.
In the men’s 400m, Chidi Okezie won gold medal with a personal best time of 45.06s.
It was the fastest time by a Nigerian athlete in nine years.
He defeated one of the world’s fastest men in the form of Muzala Samukonga of Zambia who clocked 45.37s for Silver, while Diouf Cheick Tidiane of Senegal was third in 45.49s.
