The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, is remaining coy on his future with the team.
Peseiro’s current contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to expire at the end of this month.
There are reports the Portuguese will not be offered a new contract by the soccer house.
Asked about his contract situation after his team’s training session ahead of this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, the Portuguese refused to give any direct answer.
“My future with the Super Eagles is to train today, tomorrow and prepare for the Sierra Leone game, beat them and qualify for AFCON,”Peseiro said.
The 63-year-old was appointed Super Eagles head coach on May 15, 2022.
