The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro has confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho is ready to join the rest of the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
This follows treatment at his at Sky Bet Championship club, Leicester City, following a muscular injury.
“Kelechi will arrive Cote d’Ivoire. He has finished the treatment at Leicester City,” Peseiro told NFF media.
The 27-year-old is expected to join his Super Eagles teammates in Lagos later today when they will be hosted to a send forth dinner by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
His Leicester City teammate, Wilfred Ndidi has already been ruled of the competition due to injury.
Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface will also also miss the AFCON with a groin injury.
