Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and Udinese’s Destiny Udogie nominated amongst the 20 players who will compete for the 2022 Golden Boy award.
Alongside Ansu Fati, his teammates, Pedri and Gavi were also amongst the selected players for the award.
Karim Adeyemi played with the Austrian Bundesliga side, Red Bull Salzburg from 2018 where he scored 27 goals in 68 appearances. He joined his current club, Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
Each year, the best football player under the age of 21 receives the Golden Boy award, which was established by the Italian publication Tuttosport in 2003. The winner is chosen by a jury of journalists. Former winners of the prize include Wayne Rooney (2004), Lionel Messi (2005) and Paul Pogba (2013).
The 19-year-old Barcelona midfielder, Pedri won the award the previous year, and he has once again been nominated.
