With an initial £14 million transfer fee, Brentford has finalized a deal to acquire Scottish full-back Aaron Hickey from Bologna.
The Scotland U21 full-back has signed a long-term contract with the west London club, marking Thomas Frank’s first piece of transfer business this summer.
The £14 million fee will be increased to £18 million if performance-related add-ons are met during Hickey’s time at Brentford, who are preparing for their second consecutive season in the Premier League.
Hickey was the subject of a January signing attempt by Brentford, which was revealed by Sky Sports News.
Keane Lewis-transfer Potter’s to Brentford from Hull City is still the subject of ongoing negotiations.
