Popular media personality Daniel Regha has taken to Twitter to express his frustration with the “you look like Metro” trend that has been circulating in Nigeria.
The trend gained momentum after an interview involving Rahman Jago and has since become viral, with people using the phrase to make various statements and comparisons.
In a recent tweet, Daniel Regha called out Nigerians who continue to engage in the Metro trend, expressing that it has become exhausting. He pleaded with people to stop, expressing that many of the references made in connection with the trend make little to no sense. Daniel cautioned against the continued use of the trend.
“ Enough with this “You look like Metro” phrase;
Any small thing Metro this or that. The trend is already exhausting & most of the references makes absolutely na sense….“
This isn’t the first time Daniel Regha has used his platform to share his opinions. Just two days ago, he mocked couples who posed together for Christmas photos. He criticized the popular trend of couples wearing matching pajamas and striking poses. Daniel expressed that most of the pictures looked forced and didn’t exude the level of attractiveness the couples may have thought.
Going further back to some weeks back, Daniel Regha didn’t shy away from controversy when he shaded Nigerian girls who identify as feminists and advocate for gender equality. He claimed that these individuals become silent when it’s time to foot bills, particularly during the Christmas season.
He hinted at the fact that hey expect men to provide financial support during holidays, which is a contradiction between their stance on gender equality.
