Music producer, Bankole Wellington better known as Banky W has accused his former label boss, Samuel Oguachuba better known as Samklef of initiating his personal cancel culture in 2012.
In the wake of Mohbad’s death, Samklef revealed why many record label bosses and music elite are quiet about the singer’s death.
According to him, many of them are aware of their own involvement, but they weren’t as violent as Naira Marley was.
He shared his experience with Banky W, who he claimed initiated his cancel culture with one of his friends, who worked in Soundcity.
Mocking Banky W’s pastoral calling, he called on his colleagues to share their genuine experiences.
“Banky W the individual who initiated my personal cancel culture in 2012. And one of his friends in Soundcity… He is now a pastor lol. Fellow artists, it’s time to share your genuine experiences! Don’t hesitate! The reason many of them remain quiet about this matter is that they are aware of their own involvement. They were not just violent like Naira Marley”.
While some concurred with him, others tackled him as they pointed out how the music producer hadn’t put out a good record in a long while.
One Onile Owo wrote, “That is exactly what I am thinking because I can’t imagine how an industry, that is full well performing artists. Just keep quiet if not for Gistlover, Iyabo Ojo, King Tonto, and Samklef all this Justice4Mohbad could have been things of the last, but know that God is greater than them all. They will surely pay for it one day.
One Sir Raji wrote, “I agree with Samklef on this. Has anyone ever thought about it, why Wizkid never had anything to do with Banky W ever since he left the record label? To the extent, Wiz did not attend his own boss’s marriage
One Kazeem Titilayo wrote, “SMH. I figured the silence is extreme

One Coco Blanc wrote, “I knew it!! All these big names in the industry are quiet for a reason!! They are doing the worst things in the industry!! It’s a shame humanity doesn’t play a role anymore
One Afe Mopol wrote, “Oga go fine better thing do you no dey forget the past. That’s why you no dey go forward again”.
Last year, Samklef had dragged Banky W for ripping him off Wizkid’s album, which he produced, and for being controlling.
He alleged that Banky W humiliated him and told Wizkid to rip him off his Pakurumo song right in his presence, however, Wizkid’s humble nature didn’t allow him to do so.
Samklef further claimed that this was one of the reasons Wizkid left the label.
Responding to his incessant rants, Banky W begged him to leave his name out of his mouth and handle his business himself, reminding him that his own name isn’t included in the album and he doesn’t enjoy any royalties from the album.
He told him to channel his energy to the right source as he wasn’t in charge of it.
Hitting back, Samklef had issued a 6-day warning Banky W, warning him not to mess with him.
