The Master of Ceremony (MC) at late Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe’s wake keep was booed after failing to recognize the presence of Peter Obi at the event.
In a video making rounds online, the MC could be seen mentioning the names of other Special guests, whose presence he acknowledged. However, he failed to acknowledge Peter Obi who graced the occasion and this left the crowd enraged and he was booed. The MC who was perplexed at first, later realized that he had failed to acknowledge Peter Obi and he tendered an apology to him.
The act has left social media users divided.

Kemi Filani reported three weeks back, that Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife, Chizoba, and son Chizzy, had died. The trio lost their lives in an ill-fated chopper crash in California on February 9th, 2024.

Taking to his Instagram story, Davido prayed for strength and comfort for the deceased’s family. In another post, where he shared a photo of the businessman, his wife, and his son, he revealed that he was weak.
Following his demise, a week of activities has been dedicated in his honor. Dignitaries, guests, well-wishers, family, and friends of the deceased had converged at Omueke in the Isiokpo community of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State for his Christian wake keep.
Among those present to pay their last respects, ahead of the burial ceremony slated for Saturday are the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike; Governor of Rivers State, Siminalyi Fubara, and the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election Peter Obi and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers State for 2023 Tonye Cole.
