Funke Akindele fuels political ambition as she recalls old memories with street children

Nollywood filmmaker cum politician Funke Akindele, popularly known as Jenifa, has fueled her political ambition by sharing old memories of herself and some children in the locality.

The actress, who is the deputy governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, shared a throwback photo of herself expressing love for kids.

Sharing the picture on her verified social media page, Instagram, Funke Akindele stated that “children are the heritage of God, and they are a reward from the womb.”

She wrote online: Omo ni Ini Oluwa! Omo inu si ni Ere re!!

This post is coming after mixed reactions have trailed Funke Akindele’s political ambition, with many still doubting her capability as a running mate to Adediran Jandol.

Kemi Filani recalls that Funke Akindele confirmed her political appointment after speculations about her involvement in politics, which she earlier snubbed.

The mother of two shared a video on her verified social media page to confirm that she has been chosen as a running mate to Jandor in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

Funke Akindele disclosed that she is ready to pay the price of embracing politics which will temporarily hold her career in the Nollywood industry.
