Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has joined her colleagues to mourn the death of Nollywood veterans Ada Ameh and Sola Awojobi Onayiga, popularly known as Ireti.
Funke Akindele took to her social media page, Instagram, to express how saddened she is about the death of two thespians in a day.
Funke Akindele wrote: sad!!
May Aunty Adah and Aunty Sola’s souls rest in perfect peace. Amen.
May the Lord comfort the hearts of their loved ones. Amen.
Funke Akindele is one of the many celebrities who mourned the late actresses.
Kemi Filani recalls that Sola Awojobi Onayiga reportedly died on Monday morning, the same day her colleague, Ada Ameh slumped and died.
Reports made available to the public by the Founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, revealed that the actress died on Monday morning from a yet-to-be-known sickness.
Seun Oloketuyi took to Instagram to brief the public on the demise of the actress.
He wrote: “I have just been informed that the accomplished Stage and Screen Actress and Fellow of Theatre Arts Auntie Sola Awojobi Onayiga has passed on.
Auntie Sola who is best known for living delightfully the role of Ireti aka Cooking practicals in the defunct television sitcom ‘CHECKMATE’! Reportedly passed on this morning.
