Maria Chike Agueze was born in the year 1992 to a white mother and a Nigerian father. There are no details of the day and month she was born. While Maria is biracial she, however, considers herself a typical Nigerian from Imo state.
She has lived most of her life outside the shore of Nigeria as she had both her high school and tertiary education in the United Kingdom.
For her high school education, Maria attended Trinity High School, MANCAT college. The BBNaija start also did Performing arts at City College, Manchester and holds a degree in communication from the University of Salford, United Kingdom.
Maria started her career as part of the Emirate cabin crew in 2004. Between 2006 and 2011, she was the front of House representative at Grosvenor Casinos between 2006-2011.
Maria was an Administrative Assistant at Goderough college, UK, after which she joined KBC financial products as human resources assistant in 2012. She revealed her career had given her opportunities to travel to different countries.
Before moving to Nigeria to participate in the BBNaija reality TV show, Maria was a realtor in Dubai and hopes to start a similar business in Nigeria in future.
Acting in the BBNaija house
One of the things that drew many fans to Maria is her acting skills, as she was able to conceal her identity as a wild card in the house at the start of the show. It came as a shock to other housemates when she and Pere were revealed as the wildcards as both didn’t show the slightest sign.
Another time Maria’s acting skill was rated top-notch was when she emerged the Head of House. Biggie told her to tell other housemates that there would be an eviction even though, in truth, there wouldn’t be any; she was asked to convince housemates to believe that she would be the one to nominate those that would be evicted.
To the viewers’ surprise, Maria left the diary room and started crying as she told other housemates she would have to nominate two housemates for eviction; they all fell for it.
She would likely get a chance in the Nigerian movie industry once she leaves the house.
One housemate that has been on Maria’s neck for a relationship is Pere, but there are indications that she has someone waiting for her outside the house.
She is reportedly worth around $200,000.
