By the time Roker got prominence in America, he was previously working for CBS as a weather anchor. CBS was a WHEN-TV branch based in Syracuse, New York. That was between 1974 and 1976. By this time, he was a student of SUNY Oswego. He completed his studies and went to Washington District of Columbia and got a job in weather forecasting at a private station of WTTG. The location’s owner was the Metron media, where Roker worked for two years.
In 1978 he was hired at WKYC-TV based in Cleveland, which was an NBC property. He worked there for five years and was promoted to lead WNBC-TV and positioned near his home. The broker got home in New York City at the end of 1983 and became a weathercaster. After eight months, he became a great caster and was the apparent station’s weathercaster. Roker took the place of old experienced Dr. Frank Field. The field had left the station for contract disagreements.
