Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene of the Super Falcons believes her team has what it takes to reach the final of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in 2022.
On Monday night, the defending champions will face Morocco in the semi-finals at Rabat’s Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex (today).
The Super Falcons have battled back from a shaky start to the competition to reach the final four.
Following a 2-1 loss to South African Banyana Banyana in their first match, the West Africans defeated Botswana and Burundi to advance to the quarter-finals.
Randy Waldrum’s team defeated Cameroon 1-0 to set up a tense match against the hosts.
Ngozi, who has been one of the Super Falcons’ standout performers in the competition, is adamant that they are battle ready for the hosts.
“No matter who we face, whether it’s the host country or whatever, it’s football… we have to be ready to win and qualify for the final,” Okobi told CAFonline.
The game will begin at 9 p.m. Nigerian time.
