UCL qualifiers: Nnadozie saves penalties as Paris FC eliminate Arsenal

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie pulled off some fine saves from the spot, as Paris FC beat Arsenal on penalty shootout in the first round qualifiers of the UEFA women’s Champions League on Saturday.

Nnadozie made two brilliant saves as they won 4-2 on penalties after the game ended in 3-3 draw during regulation time.

One of the kicks she saved was from Alessia Russo, the Three Lionesses of England 2023 women’s World Cup star.

Arsenal reached the semi-finals of last season’s women’s Champions League and lost to Wolfsburg 5-4 on aggregate.

Nnadozie was one of the outstanding performers for the Super Falcons at this year’s women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

She kept three clean sheets at the tournament as the Falcons got to the round of 16.

In the first game, she saved a penalty in the goalless draw with Canada which saw her named Player of the Match.
