Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has said he is expecting Romelu Lukaku to return to the club for preseason next week.
Lukaku joined the Blues for £97.5million from Inter Milan in 2021.
However, the Belgian returned to the San Siro on loan last season, after falling out with then Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel.
Although Inter are looking to keep Lukaku on a permanent basis, Pochettino is ready to welcome the striker back.
“Everyone knows what we think. In that case he needs to come back on the 12th or 13th to be part of the squad to start pre-season.
“When he arrives the first thing he’ll do is come to my office and say hello. If he is still a Chelsea player, I expect the same,” Pochettino told a press conference on Friday.
