There are strong rumors that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Adama Traoré once more.
Spurs were interested in acquiring the nimble winger who played for Wolverhampton Wanderers in January, but Traoré had already committed to playing for Barcelona on loan.
The Wolves player’s loan in Spain is coming to an end, and it is said that Spurs are interested in signing him permanently after hearing positive reports about him.
According to SportsBible, Antonio Conte, the manager of Spurs, has £150 million to use for sign during this transfer window. Well, Conte is reportedly keeping an eye on Traoré.
In January, Spurs stated that they would not spend more than £15 million on the player, and it is quite doubtful that they will change their minds about how much they value him at this point.
When Traoré’s loan arrangement comes to an end, Barcelona has the option to buy him for £30 million, but it appears doubtful that they will exercise this option.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an Italian football journalist, the decision regarding Traore’s future will be made very soon, Spurs Web reported.
“Barcelona won’t trigger the buy option clause for Adama Traoré. It was included into the loan deal from Wolves for €30m but Barca won’t spend big money on Adama as things stand. Traoré is out of contract in June 2023 with Wolves, so his future will be decided soon,” Romano said.
