Transfer: Liverpool join race with Real Madrid to sign Jude Bellingham from Dortmund, Milan Skriniar’s interest

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Liverpool are currently in the lead in the race to sign both Borussia Dortmund and the talented young midfielder Jude Bellingham from England, who is also wanted by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid and Liverpool both seem to have done a lot of “legwork” on a potential deal, but the Reds are willing to spend a little bit more than the Spanish club, which could tip the scales in their favor.

Jacobs said to GMS: “At the moment, I think Liverpool are the frontrunners for Jude Bellingham.

“Real Madrid have put in a lot of legwork as well and I think both of those two clubs have confidence.

“But the difference between the two is that Liverpool perhaps are prepared to pay a bit more than Real Madrid.”

According to TEAMtalk, Milan Skriniar will become a free agent in the summer of 2023, and a number of elite Premier League teams are prepared to make contract offers to him. One of those teams is Liverpool.

If he does not sign new terms with Inter Milan, the 27-year-old central defender from Slovakia would be free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs starting in January. According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in the Inter defender.
