Football transfer expert Julien Laurens has provided an update on Kylian Mbappe purported move to Saudi Pro League.
The Frenchman won’t be going to Saudi Arabia, despite a world record £259million [€300m] offer from Al Hilal, according to Laurens.
A number of other clubs are reportedly interested in the World Cup winner, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.
But French Football expert Julien Laurens says he only has eyes for long-time suitors Real Madrid.
And he suggests it may be in Los Blancos’ interest to sign him this summer, rather than wait until his Paris Saint-Germain expires and he becomes a free agent.
“They haven’t even made contact with him or his family,” Laurens said on talkSPORT Breakfast this morning.
“I admire the way they bid and for them to try and put it on the table, but he’s not going to go to Saudi Arabia, even just for one year to be a free agent in 2024.
“He only wants Real Madrid.
“The question is, are they ready to pay €150m now, or just wait and get him on a free next summer?
“The signing-on fee if he comes next year as a free agent will be HUGE, so it might not make much difference for Real Madrid to pay the €150m now instead of waiting for him to be free.”
