There are rumours that Chelsea has changed its mind about acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo since Graham Potter joined the team, according to a report.
Although Ronaldo attempted to arrange a summer transfer away from Manchester United, he is still playing there. Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid were among the clubs linked with a swoop, but they distanced themselves.
Chelsea was also said to be interested. Following the return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter, they sought attacking reinforcements for former manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel and Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly, on the other hand, disagreed on a Ronaldo raid. Tuchel was fired as a result of this, according to reports.
Tuchel ultimately chose to reunite with former Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has settled in well despite Potter’s arrival.
However, according to ESPN, Chelsea sources claim that the club’s stance on Ronaldo’may have changed.’
Indeed, Potter may have been more enthusiastic about signing Ronaldo than Tuchel.
However, the report does not go on to say whether or not Chelsea signing Ronaldo is a distinct possibility.
As Aubameyang has settled in well at Stamford Bridge scoring two goals in two games for Chelsea without Ronaldo.
