After Gleison Bremer signed a five-year contract to join Juventus from Torino, Tottenham and Chelsea will have to look elsewhere for defensive targets.
Several Premier League teams have been keeping an eye on Bremer’s situation recently, including Tottenham and Chelsea. Chelsea made an “important proposal” to sign the Brazilian center-back in June.
Chelsea and Tottenham, however, were unable to resolve the situation with Torino. His move to Juventus soon became his top priority, and that dream is now a reality.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Bremer will agree to a five-year contract with Juve. It will result in him receiving a net salary of £4.3 million per season, or about £82 000 per week.
Bremer will soon depart from Torino’s preseason training camp to finalise his deal with Juve. The documentation is all prepared and waiting to be organised.
For the 25-year-old, who has yet to receive a cap for the Brazil national team, Juve has agreed to pay Torino an initial fee of £34.9 million. If specific conditions are met, the deal’s value could increase to about £43 million.
Bremer will participate in a medical examination with the Bianconeri on Wednesday, according to the Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.
His transfer to the Allianz Stadium will be complete if everything goes according to plan.
