Transfer: Everton facing fight to keep Iwobi

Everton are facing a big fight on their hands in their bid to keep Alex Iwobi at the Premier League club.

Iwobi has now entered the final year of his contract with the Toffees.

The 26-year-old was close to signing an extension in the early part of last season but changed his mind due to the club’s relegation battle.

A number of Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in the versatile midfileder but Everton are still hopeful they can convince him to sign an extension.

The Merseysiders may however consider selling Iwobi instead of losing the player on a free next summer.

Iwobi featured in all of Everton’s 38 Premier League games last season, netting twice and providing seven assists.

He arrived Everton from Arsenal in 2019.
