Nicolas Jackson has said that he consulted former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane before joining Chelsea.
According to him, his conversation with Mane was about the new Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino.
Jackson, who joined the Blues from Villarreal, said that Mane gave a glowing appraisal of Pochettino.
The 22-year-old earned the move following a breakout campaign in LaLiga, where he scored nine goals in his last eight games.
However, he spoke with Mane, who has previously played in England with Liverpool, before he made up his mind.
“I spoke to Sadio Mane about him and he spoke very highly of him, he said amazing things about him.
“Sadio told me the manager is going to help me a lot to improve and do well if I listen to what he has to tell me, so that is exactly what I’m going to do,” Jackson told Chelsea’s official website after his transfer was confirmed.
