Chelsea has identified the goalkeeper to replace Edouard Mendy at the club in the person of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin.
The Blues have picked Trubin as a potential signing this summer.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea ‘appreciates’ Trubin as they seek cover for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Mendy has left Stamford Bridge for Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
The Senegalese’s move to the Saudi Pro League means Chelsea now requires some extra depth and quality to keep their goalkeeping department to provide competition for Kepa.
As such, Trubin has emerged as one of the names of interest as Chelsea eye signing a new goalkeeper for their manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Trubin is a 21-year-old Ukrainian keeper.
