Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will return to North London with an improved £70million offer for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Bayern are trying to complete the transfer for the 29=year-old England captain as quickly as possible this summer.
The new bid, might not still reach Tottenham’s asking price for the striker rated as one of the best in the world.
Kane is scheduled to return to training before Tottenham fly out for their pre-season tour to Australia, Thailand and Singapore on Friday.
Bayern have yet to bid more than £56m, which won’t be enough to convince Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell, even though Kane has just one year left on his contract.
A second bid might go up to £68m, but that appears to be the upper end of Bayern’s projections for a player who will be free next summer – though they would face a much more competitive challenge to sign him then.
