Transfer: Barcelona interested in signing Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko for free

If Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko does not agree to a new contract, Barcelona would be interested in signing him as a free agent in the summer.

The young striker’s current contract expires this summer, and he and the organization have not yet been able to come to terms on a renewal.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Barca will pursue the youngster if Moukoko hits the open market in July, even though he may still sign new terms (via the House of Champions YouTube show).

However, if the 18-year-old decides to leave, there is talk of Premier League clubs being willing to pay for Moukoko’s services in January. Barcelona, who is unlikely to sign any forwards in January, won’t be one of the interested parties.

Moukoko is regarded as one of the best young talents out there, but Barcelona already has one of the best strikers in the world in Robert Lewandowski.

The German has six goals and four assists for Dortmund this year, and in Qatar, he made his World Cup debut as the country’s youngest player.

Given that Dortmund is still playing in the Champions League and is vying for top-tier European football the following season, the young player should play a significant role in the remainder of the season.
