Journalist Romeo Agresti claims that Angel Di Maria, a star for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has decided to sign with Juventus this summer as a free agent.
Di Maria, 34, has been a player at the Parc des Princes for seven years after moving there in 2015 for €63 million (£44 million or N22.4bn) from Manchester United. He has achieved success while playing in Paris, winning the Ligue 1 championship five times and reaching the Champions League final in 2020.
The winger from Argentina has played 295 times for the Parisians, tallying 93 goals and putting up 113 assists. Di Maria managed 31 appearances across all leagues last season, making nine assists while tallying five goals.
However, players like Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar Jr. have jeopardized his position in PSG’s starting lineup. Agresti claims that Di Maria, whose contract with PSG is up on June 30th, has now decided to sign with Juventus.
According to reports, Di Maria and Juventus are finalizing the specifics of the transfer. Massimiliano Allegri, the manager of Juventus, is attempting to revitalize his somewhat stale team after it placed fourth in Serie A last year.
