After the Serie A powerhouses terminated the final year of Aaron Ramsey’s contract, the Welshman has now formally left Juventus.
After moving to Italy on a free transfer from Arsenal, the 31-year-old never really felt at home there and only appeared in about 50 Italian games during his three years in Turin.
Ramsey was loaned to Rangers during the January transfer window, but the Ibrox club decided against making the arrangement permanent because Ramsey missed the crucial penalty in the Europa League final shootout loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in May.
Along with Gareth Bale, who recently joined LAFC in the MLS, he continues to be a key component of Wales’ World Cup plans. He might end up returning to the Premier League if one of the many interested parties decides to extend an offer to him.
Wolves and Everton have previously been linked, but there have also been rumours of a move to Nottingham Forest, a team that has launched a significant hiring drive after rejoining the Premier League after a 23-year absence.
Ramsey is well-remembered for his protracted time with Arsenal, where he won three FA Cups while playing for the club’s illustrious manager Arsene Wenger.
