Sao Tome and Principe vs Nigeria: Osimhen opens the net as Super Eagles lead 3-0; first-half scoreline

As Nigeria’s Super Eagles return to action against the lowly ranked São Tomé and Príncipe for AFCON 2023 qualifying match 2 at the Adrar Stadium, Agadir, Morocco, Jose Peseiro’s side began the lead with Osimhen 9 minutes goal.

Kemifilani recalls that the Super Eagles were able to secure a 2-1 victory against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in matchday one of the AFCON qualifiers after losing to Mexico and Ecuador in friendly matches played in the United States of America (USA).

The Super Eagles are now playing their first away competitive fixture under new boss Jose Peseiro with the Nigerian team leading by 3 sweet goals with the possibility of scoring more goals against the São Toméan.

Unlike the Super Eagles, São Tomé and Príncipe suffered a 5-1 loss to Guinea-Bissau in their opening group game of the qualification campaign and are now get thrashed by the Peseiro’s side 3-0 in Morocco.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen scored on the 9th minutes, followed by goals by Moses Simon and Terem Moffi; 28 and 43 minutes respectively.
