Ronaldo suffers bloodied nose in Portugal match vs Czech Republic after collision with goalie

During Portugal’s Nations League match against Czech Republic on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo collided with goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and suffered injuries.

The star player for Portugal leapt to meet a high ball, but the goalkeeper caught him and gave him a nasty blow to the face. The attacker needed a plaster across his nose because he was bleeding from his face.

The 37-year-old was knocked down in the first few minutes of the game, which would have worried Portugal coach Fernando Santos and his team, but he was able to continue playing.

The Manchester United forward is a crucial component of Portugal’s hopes for the World Cup in Qatar later this year, and their Nations League match on Saturday is a crucial part of their preparations for the competition.

Tuesday’s Nations League match between Portugal and Spain will feature Ronaldo and other top Portuguese athletes.
