Paul Pogba made his first Juventus appearance in six years on Friday night, when the Serie A giants faced Mexican club Chivas Guadalajara in a preseason friendly in Las Vegas.
Pogba, whose contract with Manchester United expired in June, has re-joined his former team on a long-term deal that will last until 2026.
The Frenchman is beginning his second stint in Turin after leaving United for Juve as a teenager in 2012 out of frustration with his lack of first-team opportunities.
Pogba established himself with Juventus before returning to Manchester in the summer of 2016, in what was at the time a world record transfer. But things eventually went south for him at United under a succession of managers, and this summer has felt like a career reset.
Pogba kicked off Juve’s 2-0 win over Chivas, while Gleison Bremer, Federico Gatti, and Angel Di Maria also made their debuts for the club.
Juventus’ pre-season schedule continues on Tuesday with a game against Barcelona in Dallas, followed by a trip to Los Angeles to face Real Madrid four days later.
