Neymar scores lone goal as PSG thrash Marseille

Paris St-Germain defeated rival Marseille at the Parc des Princes with the lone goal coming from Neymar, maintaining their unbeaten record at the top of Ligue 1.

Pau Lopez had to make two early saves from Lionel Messi, who also cannoned a free kick off the underside of the crossbar.

Le Classique’s game-winning goal came in stoppage time of the first half, when Neymar finished first-time off a pass from Kylian Mbappe.

For a dangerous tackle on Neymar, Samuel Gigot was dismissed by Marseille.

The guests also had opportunities, but Gianluigi Donnarumma successfully stopped Jonathan Clauss.

PSG is three points ahead of Lorient at the top of the standings with nine victories and two draws from 11 games.
