Manchester United players will throw Solskjaer out like they did to Mourinho – Roy Keane

Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane has stated that players of the club are likely to throw manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out just as they did to Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was fired last December due to poor performance in the English Premier League. However, five months after taking over, Solskjaer has found himself in the same position as Mourinho.

“He’ll [Solskjaer] be under pressure because they’re not getting results, and particularly the performances,” Roy Keane told Sky Sports.

“I’m always intrigued when I hear after games when people say we’ll be up for the next game.

“You’re supposed to be up for every game. To me, it doesn’t matter if you’re playing for Manchester United or Altrincham, you’ve got to be up for every game of football.

“I don’t fall for this carry on that there’s going to be a brilliant reaction from these players.

“These are the same players who threw Mourinho under the bus – and they will do exactly the same to Ole.”

He added: “Even the point about United having to finish fourth tells you how the standards have dropped on the pitch both on and off the pitch.

“It’s not up to the manager to motivate the players, you’ve got to motivate yourself, you’ve got to be up for every game at Manchester United.

“And the fact Ole has got to discuss it after the game, and again the following few days about not being up for a game of football, he must be hugely embarrassed.”
