Manchester United have agreed what is the biggest kit deal in Premier League history – a new 10-year partnership with adidas worth £900million.
The new deal extends United’s relationship with the German sportswear giant until 2035 and guarantees a significant increase on the current terms, earning the club £90m-per-year.
United sources say the deal gives them certainty around the biggest source of revenue for the next decade, reinforcing the stability of the club.
A statement read: ‘Adidas and Manchester United Football Club are delighted to announce the extension of one of the most exciting, seminal partnerships in world sport.
‘Manchester United commenced a historic agreement with adidas at the start of the 2015/16 season, reuniting after 23 years. In the seasons that have followed, adidas and Manchester United have excited fans around the world with forward-thinking initiatives, iconic designs on the pitch and fan favourite culturewear off of it.
‘The new deal increases the focus on the Manchester United women’s team since their re-introduction in 2018 – continuing Manchester United and adidas’ commitment to drive the women’s game forward.’
