Gabriel Jesus to remain in Premier League amid Chelsea interest

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus will stay in the Premier League and join one of his team’s rivals in the summer, amid interest from Chelsea, according to reports.

Despite Man City’s lack of strikers last season, the 25-year-old failed to cement his place in the starting lineup, and with Erling Haaland joining from Borussia Dortmund, Jesus will leave.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jesus will stay in the Premier League because Chelsea is interested in signing him.

The Italian journalist claims that despite being offered a move to Real Madrid, he will join a Premier League club this summer.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the forward, as have Chelsea’s fellow London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Jesus has reportedly been offered to Chelsea this summer and could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

As several first-team players are expected to leave the club this summer, Thomas Tuchel ‘would like to work with’ the Brazilian.

Chelsea will give Tuchel control of the transfer window this summer, and the club may push for the signing of Jesus if the Blues manager wants to sign him.

Signing a club record Romelu Lukaku is expected to leave this summer, with the club in talks with Inter Milan about a loan deal that would see the Belgium international leave just one season after joining for £97.5 million.
