FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy lands in Abuja (photos)

The Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung has received a FIFA delegation on the Women’s World Cup trophy tour on Thursday in Abuja.

The FIFA team comprises of Sarai Bareman, Nichole Fisch, Venessa Marques and former Super Eagles player Osaze Peter Odemwingie. According to them, the Nigeria leg of the Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour is very much needed because the FIFA Women’s World Cup is more appreciated in Nigeria than in any other African country.

The Women’s World Cup trophy is on a tour of all 24 countries qualified to participate at the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals. The finals will be taking place in in France from the 7th June – 7th July this year.
