Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, has predicted Arsenal will win a Premier League title “within the next few years”.
Owen was speaking to Premier League Productions following the Gunners’ 6-0 drubbing of Sheffield United on Monday.
The result leaves Mikel Arteta’s men in third place, two points behind leaders Liverpool who host Manchester City on Sunday.
Last season, Arsenal were City’s closest challengers, but finished five points behind Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, Owen believes they are on course to win their first Premier League title since 2004.
He said: “I’ve said before they’re a force, they’re a force to be reckoned with. They’re unfortunate at the moment that there’s two incredible teams in the Premier League.
“But I’ve got no doubts about it, in the next few years they’re going to be winning a title, it’s just a matter of when.”
