Manchester United have identified the player to hand their iconic No.7 shirt for the upcoming season.
The Red Devils are considering handing the shirt to young Argentina international Alejandro Garnacho as Manchester Evening News reports.
Garnacho, 18, made his first-team debut against Chelsea in April last year and has become a regular under manager Erik ten Hag.
Garnacho, who currently wears the No.49 shirt, scored three goals in the Premier League last season and produced impressive cameos from the bench.
However, the teenager may now be set for a promotion with United considering handing him the No 7 shirt.
The shirt was vacated by Cristiano Ronaldo after his acrimonious exit from Old Trafford in December.
Garnacho, who signed a five-year deal with United in April, could now be bestowed the honour.
