Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has claimed he likes it when manager Pep Guardiola shouts at him.
Both men had a face-off during half-time against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Haaland and Guardiola argued on the pitch despite the player scoring twice already.
Unhappy with the overall contribution of the Norwegian, Guardiola berated his key man in front of all to see, with the argument continuing down towards the tunnel. It was another show of the intensity that accompanies the Spanish boss, renowned for cutting an animated figure during games.
It wasn’t clear what the spat was over, but Haaland has now opened up on his feelings about the bizarre exchange.
And speaking after being named the UEFA’s Men’s Player of the Year at the Champions League draw on Thursday, the 23-year-old admitted he finds his boss “scary” at times.
“Sometimes Pep is a bit scary,” he said. “But again Alfie Haaland can be a bit scary. But I like it when Pep shouts at me, he tries to get something in my brain that you don’t think I have. I like it, I’m not complaining, he just wants to make me better.”
