Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has noted that midfielder Casemiro, has not been himself in their first two Premier League games.
He said the Brazilian has looked lost, urging the club manager, Erik ten Hag, to sign another midfielder before the end of the transfer window or face ‘big problems’.
After managing to beat Wolves 1-0 in their first game of the season, the Red Devils slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.
Pape Matar Sarr put the home side in front early in the second half before an own goal from Lisandro Martinez handed the north London side a deserved win.
“Casemiro looks lost in midfield in these first two matches,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“What’s clear is that Manchester United’s midfield needs bolstering.
“Ten Hag wants a number six who can play alongside Casemiro and at the moment the club can’t get players out to be able to fund that.
“If they look at the first two weeks, they have to fund it or there will be big problems. What’s clear is that Ten Hag doesn’t want to revert back to Scott McTominay.”
