Chelsea have entered the race to sign midfielders Moises Caicedo and Manuel Ugarte and both players could cost the club £132 million.
Brighton have made it clear they will only allow Caocedo to join any club willing to pay them £80 million and Arsenal also heavily linked with a transfer after he almost moved to the Emirates in January.
The Blues, who would reportedly allow the likes of Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic leave the club this summer, are also bringing in Sporting Lisbon’s Manuel Ugarte, according to the Guardian.
The midfielder has a £52m release clause in his contract at the Portuguese club.
Chelsea have already spent about £600m in two transfer windows since the American replaced Roman Abramovich last summer.
Chelsea are thought to be in danger of a Financial Fair Play breach and are looking to offload a number of stars as part of another squad rebuild.
Chelsea reportedly want £80m for Mount which they could then use to bring in Caicedo if United are willing to pay that fee.
