Chelsea’s latest recruit, Cole Palmer, has revealed why he decided to dump the Premier League champions for the west London club.
The England youth team star says he fancies the chance to be part of the Blues’ ‘exciting project’.
The 21-year-old joined Chelsea in a deal worth £42.5million.
He was confirmed as Chelsea’s latest expensive new recruit on deadline day.
“I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign,” Palmer told Chelsea’s official website.
“I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents.
“It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here.”
