Darwin Nunez shines as Liverpool crush RB Leipzig in pre-season friendly

Darwin Nunez scored four goals as Liverpool easily defeated Leipzig 5-0 on a night that was encouraging for the Reds as they look to ramp up their pre-season preparations.

The game was billed as Liverpool’s toughest pre-season test yet, with the Reds having already played Manchester United and Crystal Palace, but they swatted aside a poor looking RB Leipzig side to demonstrate how ridiculous those suggestions were.

Liverpool, who have played one more game this summer than their Bundesliga opponents, looked sharper and fitter throughout, with their midfield reacting faster to every second ball and their backline ready to snare any ember of a Leipzig attack.

The game started with Egyptian star Mo Sallah netting the first goal with Nunez, finishing the game with four outstanding goals.
