Cristiano Ronaldo to miss Atletico Madrid pre-season friendly

Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of Manchester United’s 21-man squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid.

This weekend, the Red Devils play two friendlies: first, they play Atletico in Norway, and then on Sunday, they host Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford.

Recall that Ronaldo has missed every United pre-season game thus far after being given permission to take time off for personal reasons.

In an effort to force a transfer out of the club, he sat out a game earlier this week against Wrexham that was played behind closed doors. He won’t take part against Atletico on Saturday either.

Ronaldo won’t be going to Oslo, but recent additions Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez will.
