Chelsea offer Lampard a three-year contract

Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard has been offered a three-year contract by Chelsea after he was granted permission by Derby County which he manages.

Renowned transfer expert and sport journalist, Nicolo Schira made this know today via his official Twitter page where he wrote:

“All confirmed! #DerbyCounty have granted permission for #Chelsea to speak to Frank #Lampard.

“He will be the new manager of #Blues and he will sign a contract until 2022. #transfers #CFC.”

Lampard was highly sorted after by Chelsea who wanted their former midfielder and all-time highest goal scorer to replace Maurizio Sarri who left for Juventus few days ago.

Frank Lampard managed Derby County for only a season and narrowly missed out on gaining promotion from the Championship to the EPL.

He led them to a play-off where he even really lost to Aston Villa.
