Former Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, is expected to make the shortlist to become England U-21s next manager, DailyMail reports.
Aidy Boothroyd is expected to leave the role when his contract expires this summer and the Football Association is considering other options.
England’s 2-0 defeat to Portugal on Sunday, means Boothroyd’s side are on the brink of elimination at the group stage.
Lampard will be among the names considered as a potential candidate to take the job.
And the report claims that Lampard has admirers within the FA for the work he has done at Derby County and Chelsea.
Lampard is currently out of work after he was sacked by Chelsea at the end of January.
