Manchester United defender, Raphael Varane, has said they have the quality to go on and win the Champions League this season.
The Red Devils have made their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.
The 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday, means they have taken just nine points from their first seven matches.
In their first Champions League fixture, they were beaten 4-3 at Bayern Munich in Germany.
United need to get back to winning ways in Tuesday’s Group A clash with Galatasaray and Varane, a multiple Champions League winner with Real Madrid, is confident this can be a successful continental campaign.
When asked if United’s squad is good enough to win the trophy, Varane said: “Yes, I think so. I think the quality is in the squad.
“As I say, the competition is difficult. You have to take care of every detail, but we have a team with quality, with a good mentality and we have to make some improvements.
“It’s not the start of the season we expected but I still believe we have the quality enough to compete with the best teams in the world.”
