Manchester United have dropped defender Harry Maguire from the squad for their Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich.
Manchester United have been boosted by the arrival of midfielder Mason Mount and Raphael Varane but they are not named in the 21-man squad for the game.
Manchester United will come up against Bayern Munich on Wednesday in what is widely seen as the game of the week.
Maguire is a surprising absence, but the club has come up to say he will “miss out on the trip due to injury.”
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo are all on the sidelines while Jadon Sancho is facing punishment after he was banished from the first team.
United will not also have the services of Antony, who has been given a leave of absence after some women accused him of domestic violence.
