Liverpool will be sick of the sight of Brighton – and they aren’t the only side to have developed a distaste.
The Seagulls have gazumped many visitors to the Amex this season. Against no side, however, have they scored as many goals as against Jurgen Klopp’s men – that’s six, to be precise. Three at Anfield and three in the reverse fixture in mid-January.
Klopp has insisted that he has not become a “bad manager overnight” and he can solve Liverpool’s current malaise.
The Amex is a difficult place to be soul searching, though. Roberto De Zerbi has got this side playing like clockwork and with genuine belief they can match any side. I’ll be interested to see how the loss of midfielder Moises Caicedo – the subject of fierce transfer speculation this week – will affect their rhythm.
