Arsenal legend Thierry Henry picks favourite between Mbappe and Haaland

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has stated that he thinks Kylian Mbappe is a better player than Erling Haaland because he is both a creator and a finisher.

On Tuesday night, Haaland and Mbappe each scored two goals to start their respective Champions League campaigns. In a post-game interview, Henry identified the forward he would prefer to have on his team.

“Mbappe can create and finish. Haaland doesn’t create. He finishes,” Henry said on CBS. “Mbappe can play on the right and on the left. He can play in the middle. Haaland can only play in the middle.

“He is a magnificent player, and with him, they could have won the Champions League last year. Against Real Madrid, if it was him at the end of those chances that they missed, they would have been focused on scoring one or two. For now, Mbappe is still my vote.”

With assists from Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden, Haaland scored both of his goals in Manchester City’s commanding 4-0 victory over Sevilla. As for PSG’s 2-1 victory over Juventus, Mbappe scored both of their goals.
