Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has hailed coach Jose Peseiro’s tactics after they beat Ivory Coast 1-0 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday.

Troost-EKong scored the decisive goal from the spot in the 56th after Osimhen was fouled inside the box.
Osimhen, who named Man of the Match of the game said the team’s plan was take over the midfield.
“It was a difficult game. Cote d’Ivoire is a difficult opponent but we got our tactics right today,” Osimhen told a press conference after the game.
“The plan was to wait to wait for them in midfield and capiltise on their mistakes. Obviously it work well for us.
“This is a big win for us and we have to build on this in our next game.”
The Super Eagles next game is against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
The encounter will hold at the Felix Houphouet Boigny, Stadium, Abidjan next week Tuesday.
